In addition to the features of our standard ModHopper, the “Sensor Network” ModHopper has an integrated 400MHz receiver allowing users to incorporate remote pulse, analog and resistive data. The sensor network ModHopper is perfect for environmental sensors (temperature / humidity) or remote consumption meters (pulse data). Remote transmitters are a very cost effective means to secure data.

Often water or gas meters may be located in areas without readily available access to a 110VAC power source to power a ModHopper. Badger Meter has developed a solution for this type of issue in the Orion battery powered pulse transmitters. These transmitters wirelessly report back to a receiver module which then has a serial output. Obvius has recently developed a full-scale integration of the data from the receiver module into our own ModHopper and AcquiSuite system. There has never been a more cost effective way to manage data from water, gas and electricity meters on one system.
